BUILT IN THE SECOND HALF OF THE 19TH CENTURY, HOTEL LE DIJON GETS ITS NAME FROM THE ENTHUSIASM GENERATED, IN 1882, BY THE IDEA OF A RAILWAY LINE LINKING AMIENS TO DIJON. THE LINE NEVER ACTUALLY SAW THE LIGHT OF DAY, WITH THE RAILWAY ONLY REACHING AS FAR AS THE TOWN OF COMPIEGNE.
The hotel also has its own restaurant for guests' use, with two dining rooms serving regional specialities (two set menus + choice of à la carte dishes).

Located at place du 10 Août 1918 (Square of the 10 August 1918), the date of the battle that marked the liberation of Montdidier, the hotel stands as witness to the lasting memory of that victory. For almost 50 years now, musical bands have been performing concerts to commemorate this event every 10 August. This local street festival extends from the train station to hotel Le Dijon when it takes place.
